Short bioWith her older brother Mike, younger sister Krystyna and mother Janina, Mary joined her father, Adam, in Toronto in 1966 at age 9. Mary met and married her husband there. She and Ron adopted a daughter, Agneiszka, from Mary’s first cousin, Mary Sudol, daughter of Stephania Lasica and Wojtek Sudol, after visiting the family in Poland in 1995. Agneiszka was 2 at the time. Mary and Ron had tried having children of their own, to no avail; as it turned out, Mary and Ron conceived twins and had Adam and Lynn on their own a short time later.
Mary, my second cousin, called me (Joseph Lasica) in 2000, the day after I spoke with her sister Stella. I visited Mary, Chris, brother Joe and his wife Rose (as well as Stella’s part of the family) on March 31, 2006.
Mary and Ron now travel frequently with their twins, Adam and Lynn, who compete in national and international dance competitions. She visited Poland in 1986, 1999 — and in August 2013 with her sister Chris and daughter Agnieszka, who studied in Krakow in 2013-2014.

We lived in that home until we came to Canada (in 1966), and then the house was left to Zofia, since she was a widow and struggling to raise eight children.”
