Short bioFrank (born Franz) Schepper emigrated to the U.S. on May 8, 1922, with other boys from Punitz aboard the S.S. Orbita ocean liner, which sailed to New York from Hamburg, Germany, according to granddaughter Robin Schepper. At the time, he was either 16½ (if he was born in 1905) or 17 (according to the ship’s manifest). He married Margaret on April 6, 1935, in New York City. He was an electrician for Con Edison. They lived at 33-40 Corporal Kennedy Street, Bayside, in Queens, NY, when he died at age 55. Frank was Joseph Lasica‘s great uncle, though Joseph didn’t know about him until long after his death in 1961.
