Short bioJoe, who started going by JD during his first newspaper job, moved from New Jersey to California in the 1980s. He has been a journalist (reporter, columnist, editor), startup executive, author and social media strategist at two consultancies he founded. He is currently co-founder of Cruiseable, a cruise vacations startup, and COO of Authors A.I. JD is also a public speaker — he spoke at the United Nations in 2012 — blogger, photographer and world traveler, and he has participated in three Aspen Institute roundtables.
